CCN General Improvement District (GID)

 

 

The final report for the Cherry Creek General Improvement District (GID) Feasibility Study has been completed. Launched in January 2025, the study evaluated whether a GID could provide long-term funding and management for improvements in the Cherry Creek Statistical Neighborhood (CCSN). The report highlights the feasibility assessment process, key findings from community engagement and surveys, and the resulting recommendations and conclusions for supporting sustainable neighborhood improvements.

 

 

The Cherry Creek North Neighborhood Association (CCNNA) is committed to keeping residents informed about issues that affect our neighborhood. As discussions continue around a proposed General Improvement District (GID), we want to clarify that CCNNA’s role is solely to share information—not to take a position.

 

While we recognize there are strong feelings on both sides, CCNNA does not advocate for or against the GID. If the proposal moves forward we plan to host a forum to allow all perspectives to be heard in a fair and open manner.

 

Ultimately, the decision about the GID rests with residents. If the process continues, every eligible voter will have the opportunity to express their view—first by choosing whether or not to sign a petition, and then again through a special mail ballot election.
