March Explore Denver Tour
CU DENVER Experience Gallery
Get ready for an up close and personal tour of the CU Denver Experience Gallery (formerly Next Stage Gallery) for the current exhibition, “Behind the Curtain: DCPA Costumes Up Close”. The gallery is located in the heart of the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
The current exhibition highlights the processes of costume production from first drawings to final fittings. In addition to creating clothing that best represents the character and storyline of a play, costume departments must make sure the garments have accessibility, longevity, and freedom of movement. Join us for this behind-the-scenes tour of the process and meet some of the many talented individuals who make the magic happen.
As an audience member, the show begins when the curtain rises on stage. As a costume designer, however, the show begins months - or even years - in advance! In this exhibition Behind the Curtain: DCPA Costumes Up Close, they will highlight the processes of costume production from first drawings to final fittings.
Date/Time: March 7th, 10:00 a.m.  We will meet just outside of the Galleria Theatre at 9:50am to be ready for the 10am tour.
Location: 1025 13th St, Denver  The gallery is located across from the Buell Theatre and behind the Galleria Theatre.
Cost: There is no cost for the tour which will last approximately 1 hour. Parking is available in the DCPA Garage or at street meters. Must be a current CCNNA member.
Sign up: Sign up by emailing me at barkerlk22@gmail.com to confirm your attendance. Deadline is March 1st.

City Elections are just around the corner on April 4th and we will be voting for a new mayor and a substantially new City Council. Join us March 7th to meet the Denver City Council candidates for District 5 and At-Large.

This forum will be your chance to meet the candidates that want to represent Cherry Creek and those at-large candidates that will represent all of Denver. Come and find out about the key issues identified by the candidates and their respective visions for Denver and, specifically, Cherry Creek.
Remember that Cherry Creek will be moving from District 10 (which was combined with the Capitol Hill, Downtown and other neighborhoods to the north and west of Cherry Creek) to District 5, thus now combining Cherry Creek with Lowry, Hilltop, Montclair and other neighborhoods to the north and east. Country Club Historic to the west and Cherry Creek East will be joining District 5 also
